Free Motion Quilting, Stencil Doodling

In this class, students will create a simple, small, pieced grid quilt in class using either small panels or small squares they create on their embroidery machine. Once the quilt top is complete, they will use quilting rulers, household shapes, stencils, ??? to doodle free motion quilting designs with Frixion pens. With this method they can audition their quilting design before they begin the sewing process. Once the basic stencil designs are quilted, students will learn a variety of filler stitches to complete their project.
Material fee: $25

All classes will:
- Cost $100 for two full days of learning
- Provide non-standard materials for a small fee
- Start each day at 9 am and end at 3 pm
- Give you setup time from 8:30 to 9 the first day
- Allow you to leave your machine setup overnight in a secured location
- Be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1135 12th Street, Sparks, Nevada 89431 with easy parking and access
- Provide a tool and supply list after registration
- Present a project that can be completed during class
- Have a mobile quilt shop available for extra supplies or needs
- Provide a refrigerator and microwave for you to prepare your lunch
